Welcome to Tender Loving Care Veterinary Services LLC
Tender Loving Care Veterinary Services LLC is an Arizona based company with over 40 locations and currently expanding nation wide. Our goal is to provide “Quality Health Care at an Affordable Price.” We strive to be the leader in low cost vaccinations and health care within the community, while having a strong focus on “preventative care”. We offer in-house testing for diseases such as Heart Worm, Feline Leukemia and Parvo (certain locations), and provide quality preventative care products at prices that beat out online pharmacy and supply companies. We use only the best vaccines and medications available from the leading pharmaceutical companies such as Merck, Merial and Virbac.
At Tender Loving Care Veterinary Services LLC we believe that every animal should have the right amount of protection. That’s why we assess each animal’s needs to make sure that the correct vaccines are being given. We understand that not all animals’ environment activities are the same and neither should be there inoculations. Regionally we find that some animal’s threats to certain diseases may be higher and require more protection or that their lifestyles may need different vaccines to properly protect them from certain elements or surroundings. While we only use the safest of vaccines, we also believe in vaccinating only as much as you have to. That’s why our doctors discuss your animal’s protocol prior to administering any vaccination. Heartworm is a parasitic roundworm that is spread from host to host through the bites of mosquitoes. The heartworm is a type of filarid, a small thread-like worm. The definitive host is the dog but it can also infect cats, and other animals, such as ferrets and even, under very rare circumstances, humans.
The parasite is commonly called “heartworm” because the adult reproductive stage of its lifecycle resides primarily in the right ventricle of its host where it can live for many years. Heartworm infection may result in serious disease for the host. Heartworm disease is preventable with such products as Heartgard and Iverhart Plus! Protect your dog or cat from heartworm disease by giving medication once monthly, year-round or as directed by your veterinarian.
Flea and Tick
Don’t let your animal be infected by fleas and ticks. It can happen. Fleas and ticks can silently invite themselves onto your pet and into your yard and families home. These pests can then harm your pet by laying eggs and maturing into adult fleas and ticks. Ticks in some cases carry such diseases as Lyme Disease which can infect both you and your pet. A simple to use once a month spot on or tablet can help kill fleas and ticks on your dog or cat and prevents re-infestation.
Not all pet microchips are created equal. There are important differences to consider when selecting a microchip. That’s why Tender Loving Care Veterinary Services we only use ISO-compliant technology. Using these microchips safeguards pets and helps to increase the chance that the pet will be reunited should it ever become lost, compared to pets that only wear collar tags.
There are several different pet microchip systems in use today in the United States. They differ according to the frequency of the microchip and whether the microchip is encrypted. Encrypted microchips are not ISO-compliant, and can be read only by a scanner designed to read that specific, encrypted microchip. If a veterinarian or animal shelter does not own that specific scanner, it limits the chance of that microchip being read and the possibility of that pet being reunited with its owner. At Tender Loving Care Veterinary Services LLC we only use microchips that contain an individual, preprogrammed code that is permanent, unique worldwide, and cannot be altered. Our microchips are unbreakable, do not require a battery, and are designed to last the pet’s lifetime.
At Tender Loving Care we believe that not all blood work should have to be sent out. That’s why we carry the convenient in-house Test kits to better serve our clients, with an 8-10 minute result time for the more common diagnostics. In certain areas, we also send out comprehensive tests to national IDEXX Laboratories where state of the art labs run and review your pets blood work. Upon completion your Doctor will review the results with you in person. Comprehensive tests will be reviewed over the phone at no additional cost.
